Who are frontline health workers ?
Frontline health workers deliver a range of basic health care and life-saving interventions, and are widely-considered a “best buy” for global health. But according to the World Health Organization, there is a shortage of at least 1 million frontline health workers in the developing world (High Level Task Force, 2010). Existing frontline health workers could save many more lives if they had improved training and constant supplies.
Without frontline health workers, there would be no health services for millions of families in developing countries. More trained and supported frontline health workers are needed to achieve global health targets. https://www.frontlinehealthworkers.org
